Resident Evil, known in Japan as Biohazard (バイオハザード?), is a video game series and media franchise consisting of comic books, novelizations, films, and a variety of collectibles, including action figures, strategy guides and publications.[1] Developed by Capcom and created by Shinji Mikami, the series has sold almost 40 million games as of May, 2009.[2]
